Well, ever since the cringe-tastic of the Livejournal-that-will-not-be-named of my late teens and early to mid twenties. But Ello, sweet minimalistic and somewhat easy to use HTML magic on a tuesday afternoon Ello. It was the place where I rediscovered my magic and loved of the written word. The place I found wonderfully talented writers that I’m still dearly fond of, especially when they made their own collective on Tumblr. (One day, I’ll make a new account and join, just not quite yet)
It was my favorite place to write in my voice and feel at peace. But, all good things must come to an end. I keep refreshing the login page in hopes of going back to my quiet oasis of writing and peace. But I know that digital curtain has finally closed for good.
So I sit here, contemplating on warming up the soup I brought for dinner, sending more Voice acting auditions from my Duopoly-busting ass phone and just … mourn. Substack is okay, and to be fair, I haven’t really got the chance to fiddle about, but it’s not Ello.
What could ever replace the website that really help me stretch my writer’s wings after a very, very long time?
loved you then,love u now,love u forever
I miss it too Dom. Like watching the long, slow fade of a loved one. I am glad you have found an outlet.
